Restorating, Retouching, and Repairing old or damages photographs is the most important part of my job. So many priceless photos are lost everyday because no one took them to a Restoration Specialist in order to see if they could be repaired and restored to their former glory.
That's where I come in.

This photograph was quite faded and had a lot of noise in certain parts, especially on the tuxedo jacket, the woman's hair and other shadowy areas, so it required a bit more detail work than it may appear. It was already a really beautiful photo, so all it needed was some restoration and repairing to let it's true beauty shine through. I repaired the jacket and shadows that I mentioned earlier, increased contrast and fixed the color, (the best Black & Whites are actually color photos! Did you know that?) and used several filters to enrich the black and white. I consider this a Level 3 on my scale below.

As you can see in some places, this photo was stuck to a glass frame. If it had been removed, it would have torn so I advised my customer to scan it in through the glass and email me a copy. I repaired the spots that were sticking to the glass; along with what looks like burn marks, removed a person from the background, fixed the overall color and contrast, repaired the discoloration toward the bottom third of the photo, removed a couple of light scratches and removed some dust. Then I did some detail work on certain parts of the picture. I considered this picture a Level 4 on the scale at the bottom of this page.
